Hemmo Oosterveen

Hemmo Oosterveen was born in De Lier Holland. As a young boy he spent his spare time working in local greenhouses, which gave him the interest and desire to enroll in the Horticultural School in De Lier. After graduation he went to Canada, and spent 3 Months working at Westbrook Greenhouses, which confirmed to him that Canada was a land of opportunity and made him decide to immigrate to Canada in 1979.

Hemmo Oosterveen is a Manager at Westbrook Plant #3 in Beamsville, ON and is responsible for the potrose program and coaching of various growers at other Westbrook locations.

Hemmo is married to his wife Theresa and they have 3 grown children who have now started their own careers.
